Sugar and Spice

Lauren Hurt

My name is Lauren, aka Sugar.  I am entering my last  year at Wheaton College, in Wheaton Illinois. I am a Communications major with a love for marketing and journalism.  I grew up in Virginia and am a southern girl at heart, but  have fallen in love with the city.  A few of my favorite things are convertible rides with friends(while singing very loudly), yoga on the beach, sushi, September Vogue, and traveling the world. I love going on random excursions with my friends, which we refer to as "adventuring". I must say that I have a passion for fashion, and have since  as long as I can remember! I hope that this blog will allow me to let my creative side show. I believe that life is beautiful and that beauty can be found anywhere. For me it is found in fashion and art, but most importantly in the people that matter to me and the experiences I have. I hope that this blog will inspire you, or at the very least brighten your day. Sarah Catherine Beasley

Hey guys, I'm Sarah Catherine, aka Spice. I am also a Senior at Wheaton College, studying Anthropology with which I hope to become a "fashion anthropologist". I grew up on a farm in a small town in South Carolina, but I am currently loving the exciting city life of Chicago. What I love to do in the city: Shop (Topshop, Allsaints, and Zara are a few of my favs), explore the streets, people watch, discover hip restaurants and partake in the crazy night life. Outside of the city, however, I have an immense passion for baking, roaming the world, riding horses, working out, reading, and hanging out with my awesome friends. Like Lauren, I believe that life is an adventure and that we should take everything that comes our way with a positive outlook and an open mind. We need to appreciate every aspect of life, even the bad times because those are what make the good times all the more sweet! These are the ideas we hope to portray in our blog and we hope that they will encourage you to express yourself, be yourself, and live life to the fullest.

The most exciting, challenging, and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you find someone to love the you you love, well, that’s just fabulous.
