Even though Spring hasn't seemed to show it's face in Chicago yet, us beauty lovers and Bichbox members at least have our monthly beauty sample haul to look forward to! Birchbox and I have had a tough run. After becoming a member around December, I was at first very impressed with my monthly shipments, then became less than enthused after some not so stellar boxes. But now, with the latest April Birchbox+ Women's Health collabo, I have found love once again. Here's a peek inside my April Birchbox!
In the Box:
This Month I received:
Malin+Goetz Cilantro Hair Conditioner- This conditioner contains an unlikely ingredient and as soon as I took off the cap, I could immediately smell the cilantro. This conditioner is supposed to be gentle, and helps to balance pH levels and hydrate hair. I have yet to try it, but honestly not sure if I want my hair to smell the same as my salsa, as much as I love my cilantro.
Caudalie SOS Morning Eye Rescue- This grape water infused daily treatment is designed to renew the under eye area and protect from harmful UV rays. At $34 for the full size, it doesn't come cheap, but I really like this serum, and generally trust the quality of Caudalie products.
Herban Essentials Yoga Towlettes- These little cloths have pure orange oil and serve to detoxify, kill germs, and perk up your mood during an intense session with your yogi. I can't wait to try these out at my next hot yoga class.
Mirenesse Glossy Kiss Lipstick- This is a Birchbox exclusive, and apparently I'm not the only one that loved it because it is already sold out! I love everything about this product, from the daring orange color perfect for spring, to the amazing staying power.( I tried a swipe on my hand and it was still there a day later through hand washing and showers! Crazy! ) I have never tried this brand before, but as a lip wear aficionado, I am very intrigued.
Hail Merry Chocolate Macaroons- These were my 2nd favorite items in the box and they were such a yummy addition to the beauty products! They are all things healthy including gluten- free and vegan, yet they are so so decadent. The tiny bites are easy to snack on, full of flavor, and are a perfect low cal treat you can feel good about.
Are you a Birchbox member? What do you think about the service? Have you been impressed or disappointed? My verdict is still out, but after this month I am ready to give Birchbox some more chances to get it right. In the meantime, I will be wearing that bold orange Miranesse lipstick! Have a lovely week!
