Out on the Town: Cheeky Chicago Event

by Lauren

Last night we joined some of Chicago's "cheekiest chicks" for music, hors d'oeuvres, and socializing. It was a very fun and fabulous event with some of Chicago's best dressed (and not to mention accomplished!) guys and girls. It was definitely a night to remember. Here are a few highlights of the night!

Upon entering the beautiful PUBLIC hotel, a delicious selection of cocktails could be found sponsored by Reyka Vodka and Beau Joie Champagne, with background beats provided by the lovely DJ Megan Taylor. Now, let us introduce you to one of our new favorite dessert makers. Last night we had the pleasure of meeting Danny, from Danny Macaroons. At first we imagined the traditional French macaroon, but as he informed us (and much to our pleasant surprise!) these macaroons were of the coconut variety. Danny told us to try the Chocolate Almond (but he absolutely raves about his Banana-Hazelnut creation) and we were not disappointed!

We were able to get the inside scoop on how this sweet little business got started. Danny told us that when he was living in New York, he funded his coffee cravings by making macaroons for the coffee shop. They found his macaroons so delectable, that they wanted to start selling them! Spice is pretty interested in testing this theory out for herself. Keep an eye out for these delicious "macs" coming to the Chi soon!

Another favorite part of the event was the location itself: PUBLIC hotel. We loved the modern aesthetic with added touches of rustic flair. The pristine white lobby served as an elegant gateway and was the centerpiece for two very different areas of the hotel. We couldn't help but notice the large crowd gathered at the newly popular Pump Room

Last, but definitely not least, it was so great to meet co-founder of CheekyChicago.com Jessica Zweig. The Cheeky girls named their Annual Top 10 "Cheekiest Chicks" of the year such as Shannon O'Brien, Monika Dixon, and Coco Meers. It was great to celebrate some of Chicago's most accomplished entrepreneurs! We highly recommend exploring the Cheeky site to see what is happening in Chicago. Best of luck as Jessica and Erica continue to grow their company!

We hope to see YOU at the next Cheeky event!

xoxo,
