With our glittery dresses and pumps in tow, it’s time for us to leave the South and head back to our beloved Windy City to ring in the New Year!
What We're Eating:
To begin our night, we are having dinner at SUSHI SAMBA. This chic sushi spot has locations in New York, London, Las Vegas, Miami, and Chicago. We chose it for dinner because what is better than sushi before a long night of dancing? Plus, we knew it would be the perfect place to begin our night and rock our swanky sequins.
What We're Drinking:
Pimms, Hendricks, Fresh pineapple juice, strawberry preserves( our version of the Nellcote cocktail)
Blackberry Champagne Cocktails
- ¾ oz blackberry simple syrup*
- 1-1.5 oz gin (depending on how strong Mom likes her drinks)
- Sparkling wine
- Fresh blackberries for garnish
Directions: Put two blackberries in a champagne flute. Pour in blackberry simple syrup and gin, then carefully top off with sparkling wine
What We're Wearing:
Here are a couple great places to dine on your night out, as well as some events that will keep the party going well into the wee hours of the morning:
RPM Italian -This restaurant (an affiliate of Paris Club) comes highly recommended by pretty much, well, everyone. It is on the very top of our “must try” list and if you are a foodie like we are, you’ll be in for a treat. 52 west illinois street.
Nellcote- As seen in our "current loves", this Parisian chic restaurant is one of our absolute favorites. We highly recommend the gin cocktail(made with strawberry preserves. yumm!) We loved it so much we even tried to recreate it ourselves! 833 w. randolph street
Vertigo Sky Lounge- This year, they are teaming up with CheekyChicago.com for an all white NYE event. Wear your most festive winter whites and dance to DJ MisterWolf while enjoying an open bar and delicious appetizers. 2 west erie streetWhen the clock strikes midnight, we will be dancing to the beats of Porter Robinson at Congress Theater. While the Congress isn’t our favorite venue, we know that it is sure to be one of the most fun ways to start 2013.
Now, put on Ellie Goulding’s hot track “ Anything Could Happen” and get ready for the arrival of 2013! We hope that the year to come brings you infinite amounts of love and happiness!
